The layout depicts a double track through station somewhere along a suburban route. The station is situated on the outskirts of the town and connects to the outlying villages through the single-track branch line. The station serves more than one region and as such has a loco shed which is larger than expected to allow for motive power changes.
Goods facilities are adequately catered for, being designed for local purposes only.
The operating system allows for each of the four controllers to manage any combination of the four sections into which the layout has been divided.
Track-work is PECO HOm, the only modification being the point-work which required adjustment to the back-to-back measurements to suit 3 mm stock.
